Don’t you find this picture absolutely tempting? I may have just finished breakfast, but this was last night’s dinner and I wish there were leftovers. The best thing about pizza is how easy and versatile it is. I think you would be hard pressed not to find someone who would rather eat something else other than pizza. And an even better part of pizza is how easy it is to make. And just imagine how impressed everyone will be when you pull this out of the oven. You can slap your own HOMEMADE LABEL on it, put up your feet and watch the family go to town on it. I also think its an excellent way to trick people into eating more veggies. Perhaps it will even tempt someone to take cooking lessons from you! You never know!
Hey! Don’t you let the cat eat it before you! By the way this cat is made by one of my very pretty granddaughters when she was just 8 years old. But within next few days she would be out driving her first car! That’s what happens when you turn SWEET SIXTEEN! Right?
For the dough: Either buy a box of ready made pizza dough or wait until I post my recipe.
Second step, cut the veggies as shown in the picture.
You may add or delete as per your choice.
I have chosen the following very popular vegetables.
5 Medium white Mushrooms
1 Medium Green Bell Pepper
1 Medium Red Bell Pepper
4 Medium Florets of Broccoli
1/2 Medium White Onion
Except the cut onions, put the veggies in a microwavable bowl.
Add 1 tbsp. of Olive oil and toss the veggies into it.
Put the bowl uncovered in the micro on high heat for 4 minutes.
Drain the liquid, if any and set it aside.
Now you would need following ingredients to make the pizza sauce
for a large pizza
5 tbsp. tomato pulp
2 tsp. tomato paste
1/2tsp. dry Parsley
1/2tsp. dry Rosemary
1/2tsp. dry Oregano
1 tbsp. Basil paste
1/2tsp. Corn starch or All purpose flour
1 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp. Olive oil
Mix all the above ingredients together in a bowl and set them aside.
Normally, I try and use all organic products but I leave the choice to you.
For the Tomato pulp, I use Strained Tomatoes by POMI. Its a nice brand,
all natural fresh Italian Tomatoes without Sodium. You may try the
