This is another family favorite dip; especially during mango season! The recipe tastes delicious if you can get your hands on some raw mangoes instead of using lime juice. Raw mango gives a unique flavor as well as a smooth texture to the dip. You could serve it with any kind of chip, we prefer homemade Pita Chips. Of course you can adjust hot and spicy flavors by adding less or more green chilly or Jalapeno peppers.
This is a very simple and easy recipe which wont take more than 10 minutes if you are ready with all the following ingredients.
1 can (12oz.) of Garbanzo
2 Jalapeno Peppers. Take out the seeds if you want it to be less hot.
½ cup of raw mango , skinned and seeded, cut into pieces or
2 tbsp Lemon juice
¼ tsp Red chilly powder (optional)
½ cup of chopped fresh Coriander leaves
½ tsp of salt (as per taste)
1 tsp of Canola or Olive oil (optional)
1 tbsp of cold water
Directions;-
Combine all the above ingredients in a mixer and grind it to a smooth paste.
Serve it in a bowl with your choice of chips.
You may store it in a fridge for few days.
